You race — or want to.
GT3, GT4, Cup, endurance or historic: you have the cars and the ambition, and you want a season that builds on itself. With preparation, test days, race-weekend support and an honest debrief.
Season programmeI’m Philipp Eng, an active professional racing driver. With ERA Personal I work with a small number of drivers in person — one to one, on track, in the simulator and in the data. Not for a single day, but until they get where they want to be.
Test days, race weekends and track days only move you forward when they build on each other. With a different instructor every time, each outing starts from zero again. ERA Personal turns all of them into one programme — with clear goals, measurable progress and a coach who stays with you all season.
GT3, GT4, Cup, endurance or historic: you have the cars and the ambition, and you want a season that builds on itself. With preparation, test days, race-weekend support and an honest debrief.
Season programmeA fast road car or a race car, plenty of track experience — and the feeling that you’ve stopped improving. One day one to one with me shows you where your time is.
Personal DayYoung drivers at the start of their career are looked after through ERA Talent — just get in touch and we’ll find the right path.
This is how we work in a factory team — translated to your season. Every session has a task, every step forward is measured.
Reference lap, data, video. Where you are today — measured, not guessed.
Season goals, weekly structure, cars, series and dates.
Track, simulator and online reviews. Every session with a task.
Preparation, debrief between sessions, qualifying and race strategy.
A driver report after every event, a season review at the end.
I bring a Garmin Catalyst 2. Existing loggers such as AiM or RaceLogic are analysed just the same — brake pressure needs a data logger with a sensor.
One day one to one with me, at the circuit of your choice in Europe — in your car, with data logging and a debrief after every stint. Afterwards you know where your time is.
on request10 or 20 coaching days across the season: test days, winter training, race weekends and simulator — plus a season plan, online reviews and a direct line to me.
on requestYou send video and data, and we go through them together online for 60 minutes. One finding, one priority for your next outing.
on requestPrices on request, discussed personally. Travel and accommodation away from the Salzburgring are charged at cost, without mark-up. Car, track hire and entry fees are yours.
30 years in motorsport, 13 of them as a professional racing driver, racing for a factory team in IMSA today. I know single-seaters, Porsche Cup, GT3, DTM and hypercars — and endurance racing taught me how to make amateur drivers fast and safe. And I explain exactly what happens inside the car — so you can put it into practice in your next stint.
Tell me briefly what you drive and where you want to go.
We talk it through — in person, by video or on the phone. I’ll tell you honestly whether and how I can help.
A Personal Day or an ERA Trackday. You see how I work — I see you and your data.
You receive a proposal for your season — with goals, dates and price.
Drop me a short note on what you drive and what you want to achieve. I’ll get back to you personally — no obligation, no sales pitch.

When you visit the site, Netlify processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type) in order to deliver the website and ensure secure operation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Netlify deletes log files automatically after a short period. This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics tools and no advertising trackers. Our house typeface N27 and all graphics and scripts are stored on our own web space — nothing is retrieved from Google servers or content delivery networks. Only when you proceed to the payment page do the privacy notices of our payment service provider apply (section 5).
When you book a driver seat, join the waiting list or write to us via the contact form, we process the data you provide — name, e-mail address, phone number, car, chosen level, your message, your confirmation of the Terms & Conditions including a timestamp and, for bookings, the billing address collected by Stripe. The purpose is the performance of the contract and the event (grid allocation, briefing, coaching, invoicing) as well as answering your enquiry. The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual measures), Art. 6 (1) (f) for documenting your acceptance of the Terms, and Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR for invoicing data (statutory retention obligations). We store booking data until the transaction has been fully completed and invoicing records for seven years (Section 132 BAO).
Form submissions are technically handled by Netlify Forms (provider see section 2); booking and seat data are stored in Netlify Blobs on the same infrastructure. We operate our e-mail accounts with Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Dublin) within the EU Data Boundary.
Payments are processed via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland). After submitting the booking form you are redirected to a secure Stripe payment page, where you enter your payment details. We never receive or store complete card or account details — only the payment status, the amount, the billing address and the last digits of the payment method. Stripe processes the data as an independent controller for payment processing and fraud prevention. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Details: stripe.com/at/privacy.
We send the booking confirmation and the invoice automatically to the e-mail address you provide. For sending these transactional e-mails we use a technical service provider (Resend, Resend Inc., USA, on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses); the data transmitted are your e-mail address, your name and the booking details. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We do not send a newsletter without your separate consent.
On site you sign a declaration “Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk”; the data collected there (including date of birth, address, driving licence number, car) are processed for the performance and documentation of the event (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and retained for the duration of possible claims. During coaching, recordings are generated by the measuring device in your car (onboard video, driving data). We analyse these together with you in the debrief; they serve exclusively your driver training and are deleted after the event unless you request longer storage for your development plan.
Photo, film and audio recordings are made at our events for our public relations. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our activities while safeguarding the legitimate interests of the persons depicted (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, Section 78 UrhG); where consent is required, we obtain it separately with the liability waiver. You can object to the use at any time at office@engracingacademy.com. Webcams and security cameras on the premises are operated by the circuit operator under its own responsibility.
We only pass on your data where necessary for performance: to our coaches and staff, to the circuit operator (participant list for access), to our payment service provider, to tax advisers and authorities within the scope of statutory obligations, and to the technical service providers named above as processors. We do not sell data.
You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Simply contact office@engracingacademy.com.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: dsb.gv.at, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
We will amend this policy if our offering or the legal situation changes. The version published here at any given time applies. This English version is provided for convenience; the German version prevails.
Convenience translation. These Terms & Conditions are provided in English for your convenience. The legally binding version is the German “Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen” published on this website and available as a PDF; in the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all events and services of ERA GmbH – Eng Racing Academy, Höribachstraße 115b, 5310 Sankt Lorenz, Austria (FN 685987 f, Landesgericht Wels, VAT ID ATU83585014) — hereinafter “ERA” —, in particular to ERA Trackdays, corporate and private events and driver training. Deviating terms of the participant apply only with the express written consent of ERA.
The presentation of events on this website is not a binding offer but an invitation to book. By clicking the button “Confirm and pay” (German: “Zahlungspflichtig buchen”) you submit a binding offer to conclude a participation contract and are redirected immediately to the secure payment page of our payment service provider. The contract is concluded upon successful payment; immediately afterwards you receive an automatic booking confirmation and the invoice by e-mail. If no payment is made, no contract is concluded and the provisionally reserved seat is released again.
Each ERA Trackday is limited to a maximum of 20 driver seats, and to a maximum of ten seats per level (APEX and RISE). Seats are allocated in the order in which payments are received. If a date is sold out, you can join the waiting list free of charge and without obligation; this does not create any entitlement to a seat.
Booking requires legal capacity and a minimum age of 18. The contract language is German; this English version is a translation for convenience. We store the contract text together with the Terms you have confirmed; you can request it at any time from office@engracingacademy.com.
For the ERA Trackday, the driver seat comprises: participation in the chosen level (APEX or RISE), a dedicated coach for the entire day at a ratio of approximately 1:5, four driving stints in rotation of about 45 minutes each as planned, four debrief sessions according to the ERA method, use of a measuring device (Garmin Catalyst 2) on loan for the duration of the event, drivers’ briefing, use of the circuit, garage space as well as catering and hospitality on the event day.
Not included are: the car, fuel, tyres, wear and repairs, insurance of any kind, travel to and from the event and accommodation.
Schedules, stint lengths and the allocation of grids are planning figures. ERA reserves the right to make changes for organisational or safety reasons, in particular to allocate a participant to a different level if the chosen level evidently does not match their driving ability; the price remains unaffected. Events take place in all weather; rain is not grounds for a refund or withdrawal. The loan device must be handled with care and returned at the end of the day; the participant is liable for loss or damage caused by gross negligence or intent.
The price stated for the respective date applies. Prices are set per event and may differ depending on circuit, scope and season; the price displayed at the time of booking and stated in the confirmation is decisive. All prices are per driver and event day and include 20 % Austrian VAT.
The total amount is due immediately upon booking. Payment is made via our payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. using the payment methods offered there (including credit and debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS, Klarna). ERA does not receive or store complete payment details. The invoice is sent automatically in electronic form to the e-mail address provided immediately after receipt of payment; by booking, you agree to receive the invoice electronically.
Corporate and private events are quoted and invoiced separately; the payment terms stated in the respective offer apply.
ERA Days are services related to leisure activities for which a specific date is provided. Pursuant to Section 18 (1) No. 10 of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Transactions Act (FAGG), there is therefore no 14-day right of withdrawal. You are informed of this separately in the booking form and confirm it before payment. Exclusively the cancellation and rebooking rules in section 6 apply.
Cancellation is possible at any time in writing (an e-mail to office@engracingacademy.com is sufficient). Receipt by ERA is decisive. The following cancellation fees apply: up to 30 days before the event 20 % · 29 to 14 days before 50 % · from 13 days before and in the event of no-show 100 % of the participation price. You expressly retain the right to prove that the damage incurred was lower.
Alternatively, up to 14 days before the event you can rebook once free of charge to another ERA Day, provided a seat is available there. You may also provide a substitute participant free of charge at any time, provided they meet the participation requirements; notification must be given no later than 24 hours before the start of the event. Refunds are made via the same payment method used for payment.
If an event has to be cancelled for reasons for which ERA is not responsible (in particular official prohibition, circuit closure, accident, force majeure), or if ERA cancels due to insufficient participant numbers no later than 14 days before the date, you will receive, at your choice, a replacement date or a full refund of the participation price. Further claims, in particular for reimbursement of travel, hotel or consequential costs, are excluded insofar as ERA is not at fault. If operations have to be abandoned after the event has started for such reasons, we refund the part of the fee attributable to the services not provided.
Minimum age 18 and a valid driving licence (at least category B). The car must be in perfect technical condition and roadworthy, comply with the applicable noise limits of the respective circuit and have no safety-relevant defects. Helmets are mandatory; clothing covering arms and legs and sturdy closed shoes must be worn. A strict zero-alcohol limit applies, as does an absolute ban on drugs and on medication impairing the ability to drive. Attendance at the drivers’ briefing and signing the declaration “Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk” on site are mandatory participation requirements. Accompanying persons aged 16 and over are welcome; they may only stay in the designated areas, are subject to the same instructions and must be registered in advance. Minors only when accompanied by a legal guardian. Passenger laps on track are permitted exclusively with an ERA coach — not with accompanying persons and not between participants. Anyone who does not meet these requirements will be excluded from participation without entitlement to a refund.
Instructions from ERA, the coaches and circuit staff as well as flag signals must be followed at all times and without exception. ERA Days are not a race and not a competitive event; there is no timekeeping of a competitive nature, and comparisons of best lap times between participants are not part of the event. In the event of violations of these rules or the circuit regulations, or of reckless driving, ERA may exclude the participant from further participation without refund. Damage caused by the participant to the circuit, barriers or facilities of the circuit operator will be charged on at actual cost.
ERA takes out no insurance for participants or their cars; participation is at your own risk. Motor third-party liability, comprehensive and passenger insurance policies generally do not cover use on closed circuits. Taking out your own track-day insurance is expressly recommended; on request we can name providers without obligation. In doing so, ERA does not act as an insurance intermediary, does not provide insurance advice and receives no commission. Arranging and checking insurance cover is solely the participant’s responsibility.
ERA is liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health and in cases of intent and gross negligence. For other damage, in particular property damage, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act and the Product Liability Act, remain unaffected. ERA is not liable for damage participants cause to each other, for damage caused by third parties, or for items brought along or parked vehicles; no duty of safekeeping is assumed. Towards entrepreneurs, liability for slight and gross negligence is limited to the amount of the respective participation fee.
Photo, film and audio recordings are made at the events, which ERA may use for its own public relations insofar as the legitimate interests of the persons depicted are not infringed (Section 78 UrhG). An objection is possible at any time at office@engracingacademy.com; we obtain separate consent with the liability waiver. Participants’ own recordings are permitted for private purposes; commercial exploitation requires the prior written consent of ERA and the circuit operator.
How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Austrian law applies, excluding the conflict-of-law rules of private international law and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence remains unaffected (Art. 6 Rome I Regulation); the statutory places of jurisdiction pursuant to Section 14 KSchG apply. Towards entrepreneurs, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction in Salzburg has exclusive jurisdiction. Should individual provisions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected; the invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that comes closest to its economic purpose. Amendments and additions must be made in writing. In the event of any discrepancy between this English translation and the German version, the German version prevails.
